This role will be under Dubai Harbour Marinas Umbrella which continues to grow. We're in search of a Finance Manager. In this role you ensure the financial health and success of the organization by analyzing the financial data, developing financial plans, and advising management on strategies to maximize profits and ensure compliance with relevant company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

P&L Accuracy / Timelines:

  • Ensure costs are appropriately matched to operating revenues and recorded in the proper accounts per the approved budget guidelines.
  • Preliminary financial statements are delivered to the General Manager within 3 business days of the month-end, and final statements within 5 business days.
  • Monthly results commentaries for operating revenue and expenses are provided, with variance analysis and recommendations.
  • A full management pack presentation, including all the KPI reports, is submitted to the General Manager within 8 business days of the month's end.

Forecasting / Budgeting:

  • Review monthly forecasts with line managers and the general manager and provide commercial and operational input wherever necessary.
  • Support the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.

Performance Analysis:

  • Conduct regular performance analysis, comparing actual results to budgeted figures and providing insights to senior management.
  • Provide data analytics to the sales team, discuss monthly revenue management initiatives to achieve the target, and identify ongoing challenges for senior management.

Financial Systems and Processes:

  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of Marina’s financial systems or tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Monthly business review meeting with the line managers to critique current financial results and recommend financial strategies to support business growth and sustainability.
  • Assist and support revenue strategies by applying data analytics to predict demand and adjust pricing.

Contract Management:

  • Reviewing and ensuring compliance with the financial aspects of contracts and facilitating renewals.
  • Ensure all goods and services received are aligned with the contractual obligation and scope of work.
  • Identify and recommend cost reduction measures for the ongoing contracts.

Accounts Receivable Functions:

  • Organizes, leads, and controls the credit function to reduce bad debt and collaborates with the Legal team for all the ongoing legal issues.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage and interact with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure the timely completion of financial tasks and projects, including the yearly financial statement audit.

Training and Development:

  • Train and lead a high-performing finance team.
  • Foster continuous learning and development opportunities for team members.

Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications And Professional Certifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is generally required, along with 3-5 years of managerial experience and strong analytical and communication skill

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role, such as financial analyst, accounting, or financial account management. Experience in Marinas is an added advantage.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills, strong communication and presentation abilities, and a thorough understanding of general accounting principles and hospitality industry-specific knowledge are required.
