As Shamal Holding continues to grow, we’re in search of a Manager – Performance & Rewards. This role reports to the Executive Director - Performance & Reward and is responsible for managing the implementation of various Performance & Rewards processes and practices across the organization. The role is responsible for execution of the approved mandate with respect to the Total Reward framework and aligning the individual performance of employees with the business goals of the organisation. This includes ensuring that the performance management system is fit for purpose and is modified as necessary to ensure alignment to organisational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing organisational Reward Strategy to foster a performance driven culture.
  • Take ownership and responsibility of the Performance Management process in the organization.
  • Ensuring that the performance management system is fit for purpose, and it is modified as necessary to ensure alignment to organizational goals.
  • Work with IT infrastructure to support reward and performance management strategy.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing compensation structures including salary ranges to ensure internal and external equity.
  • Benchmarking employee compensation and benefits with relevant competitors in the market.
  • Participate in annual market driven compensation adjustment review, variable reward decisions from a Total Reward perspective.
  • Implementing mechanisms for key business units so that their variable reward is linked directly to performance through incentives.
  • Resolving employee queries pertaining to all aspects of Performance Management and Total Rewards.
  • Support the development of organizational design which is fit for purpose and appropriate to the organization strategy.
  • Be the custodian for all organizational design and job evaluation work.
  • Building networks with HR consultants and HR managers in other businesses to share data and seek clarification on practices.

 

Performance Management

  • Supports the Organisation's leadership in developing a high-performance culture.
  • Owns and facilitates the Performance Management processes in the Organization.
  • Coaches and trains employees and Line Managers to conduct performance reviews and discussions effectively.
  • Implements and enhances the right technological platforms for strengthening the performance management process.
  • Reviews the performance management process for continuous improvement.

 

Reward & Recognition

  • Support Reward processes (Bonus, Increment and Promotions, Benefits Renewal).
  • Manage the Recognition platform and process, working with the HR Business Partnering team to execute across the Business Units and Functions of the Organisation.
  • Benchmarks the pay and benefits to provide understanding of Shamal’s compensation competitiveness.
  • Manages and implements new programs and systems to improve the reward and recognition practices.

 

Analytics

  • Owns HR analytics and guide HR units in measurement and reporting of any key metrics.
  • Uses available data to provide dashboards that facilitate effective decision making.

 

Organizational Design

  • Reviews the organisation structures for Business Units and Functions.
  • Manage the Job Evaluation process for Shamal, suggesting improvements in order to follow best in class practice.

 

Technology and Process Automation

  • Contributes to HR process improvements.

 

General

  • Participates in cross functional projects if required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources or advanced professional certifications in HR (e.g., CIPD or SHRM).
  • Advanced understanding of Performance and Reward concepts.
  • 6+ years working experience in Human Resources function, including at least 3 years independently handling performance management.
  • Experience in the Investment/Financial Services industry preferred.
