Technician - Dubai Harbour Marinas

This role falls under our Dubai Harbour Marinas umbrella and we are seeking an individual who will perform in the maintenance and repairs of entire MEP Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, control systems of the marina internal and external facilities area, the under the supervision of Engineering Manager. He / She may call up on to perform any other duties as instructed by her / his superiors. This is a very key position in Technical Operation and need to be someone with good engineering skills and tools – including hands very much on skilled professional and experience working with such system.

• To carry out repairs and maintenance and installation related to electrical equipment, services and spares which reflect the standard of the marina.
• To handle shift operation according to the operational requirements
• To perform marina related duties such as securing boats to docks, connecting and monitoring utility services (power and water), black water pump out, waste disposal, facility sanitation and asset tagging
• Assist to minor repairs of boat power connections and resolve the problem in time bound manner
• To ensure to perform all the portable appliances are PAT (Portable Appliance Test) tested to comply with Local Authority and company FLS standards
• Ensure all the Electrical equipment and devices are tested and maintained as per the standard requirement
• Ensure that all Work Order, Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), Contract Work Authorization’s and General Maintenances are executed as directed by the Technical Manager at site
• Basic knowledge of maintaining the Fire, Life & Safety System and Records
• Knowledge of Electrical/Mechanical/ Plumbing equipment maintenance and repairs
• Sound knowledge of starting procedures of motors, pumps, and use of various drives and chemicals
• Sound knowledge of all electrical system like LV/HV devices or equipment’s, DBs, SMDB, MCB, ELCB, Dimmer Controls,
• Identification of Electrical / Mechanical / Plumbing / FLS and HVAC equipment
• Good all-rounder skill in engineering / technical perspective and high quality of standard
• To identify the issues, diagnosing and troubleshooting all electromechanical facilitated services and equipment
• Order and upkeep required spare parts for necessary operation without delaying the guest/client services
• Ensure that the par stock level is maintained for the fast-moving Electrical spares in the stores
• To organize the work in a skilled and professional manner
• To ensure compliance with ISO integrated management systems requirements in the daily operations of Dubai Harbour Marinas.
• Work hours as required to do your task but normally to work 48 hours per week

Preferred Educational Qualifications and Professional Certifications

• School certificate or equivalent education and experience
• Trade Certificates in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronic or any Engineering discipline

Experience

• Minimum of 4 – 6 years’ experience in Engineering field for repairs, maintenance, troubleshoots and diagnosis the issues/faults and / or engineering/technical services
