As Shamal Holding continues to grow, we’re in search of a Parachute Rigger. This role is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and packing parachutes to ensure the safety and functionality of equipment for skydivers, thus upholding the highest standards of safety and reliability within the rigging loft at our skydiving facility.

Responsibilities

  • Inspection and Maintenance of Parachute Equipment: Conduct thorough inspections of parachuting equipment, including canopies, harnesses, and containers, to identify signs of wear or any defects.
  • Execute both minor and major repairs on parachute equipment within the limitations of the rating type held.
  • Inspect and re-pack reserve parachutes as regulated by the GCAA.
  • Store parachute equipment and raw materials in a manner to maintain its longevity and safety.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain technical logs detailing inspections, maintenance activities and/or repairs undertaken.
  • Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and fully compliant with relevant regulatory standards.
  • Continual Improvements: Remain knowledgeable of the latest service bulletins issued by relevant parachute equipment manufacturers.
  • Adhere to the best practices in maintenance and repair of parachute equipment.
  • General: Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of all rigging equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Rigger License from respective authorities.
  • Packer License from respective authorities.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
